The students are learning about the Metric System. Students are learning how to measure and convert units of mass and capacity.
They learned the riddle: King Henry Died Unexpectedly Drinking Chocolate Milk to help remember the prefixes in the Metric System.
This week, students will have a quiz on liquid capacity (Liters). Students have practiced identifying the most appropriate unit of measurement for a container, converted Liters to mL and used the displacement method to find the volume of irregular objects.
We will be learning how to find the volume of solid regular objects using unit cubes and diagrams with the formula V= l x w x h.
